Walk With Ease
The Walk With Ease (WWE) program is a six‑week, evidence‑based walking initiative created by the Arthritis Foundation. It is designed to help participants safely increase physical activity, reduce arthritis pain, and improve overall health. The Bremer County Health Department is excited to offer group sessions of the WWE program across Bremer County, with locations determined by enrollment.

This program is beginner-friendly and adaptable for all fitness levels.
Who can participate?
WWE is designed for any adult who wants to become more active safety and comfortably. You are eligible to participate if:
1. You are 18 or older
2. Experience arthritis or other chronic health conditions
3. You are new to exercise or returning after time away
4. You want a structured, supportive walking program
5. You can walk independently (with or without assistive devices such as a cane or walker) for 10 minutes
6. You have medical clearance from a doctor if you have concerns about starting a new activity
Program Cost
The program is free to join. If you'd like a WWE participant guidebook, it is available for a non-refundable $12 (cash or check only).
Program Schedule & Format
Our upcoming session runs for 6 weeks, with three 1-hour sessions each week. Each session includes:
-A gentle warm-up
-Guided walking at your own pace
-A cool-down and stretching routine
-Tips for managing arthritis and staying motivated
