The airport is conveniently located 10 miles north-north-east of the central business district of Darlington.
No, the airport is always open for aircraft to take-off and land. The terminal building is open 24hrs a day. The airport Manager's office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours service available with at least 24 hr notice. If you need assistance outside these times, please contact Airport Manager at 843-307-7710. 
Pilots may listen on frequency 119.925 or you may call 843-393-8220 and hear the weather observation broadcast that is updated every minute.
Darlington County Airport does not normally charge parking, landing, ramp, or over-night parking fees. However, during some special events, a "special event fee" may apply. 

** NASCAR Race Weekend: $250 special event fee, unless equal value in fuel is purchased.
Limited hangar space is available for short-term use only, and can  accommodate up to midsize corporate jets (tails less than 18 ft).  Contact Airport manager at 843-307-7710 to check availability.
Currently, there is no flight instruction at this location. However, Hartsville and Florence airports currently offer flight instruction and may offer orientation flights. Check with them.
Yes rental cars are available, but need to be arranged in advance. They will be dropped off and picked up at the airport. Contact Enterprise Rent-a-car at 843-857-9088 (menu option 4, then option 2) to make arrangements.
