After-hours inspections—requested after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays or any time on weekends—are available for a fee of $45.00 per hour. (emergency only)
Most inspections are completed within 30 minutes. However, some commercial inspections, as well as rough-in and final inspections, may require additional time depending on the scope and complexity of the project.

Zoning Regulations
Chapter 50 of our Municipal Code establishes the City of Raytown’s zoning regulations, which apply regardless of whether a building permit is required. While certain structures—such as sheds under 200 square feet and fences—may be exempt from permitting requirements, their placement, materials, height, and other characteristics remain subject to applicable zoning standards.
