Board of Zoning and Adjustment Meetings
The Board of Zoning Adjustment hears applications for Variances from zoning regulations and Appeals of Administrative Decisions made by City staff while enforcing zoning regulations. The BZA meets on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise noticed. Meetings are typically cancelled if there are no applications to come before the board. For a scheduled meeting to proceed, a quorum consisting of 4 members is required (5 members constitutes a full Board).
Members
The Board of Zoning Adjustment, in accordance with City Ordinance and State of Missouri statutory requirements, is made up of five full members and three alternates appointed by the Mayor for terms of five years. There is presently a Full Member vacancy on the BZA.
The Board of Zoning Adjustment members are:

- Richard Tush - Alternate
Goals:
Impartiality as well as timely and complete review of each application.
Time Commitment:
One meeting on the second Thursday evening of each month, which typically lasts from approximately one hour to two and a half hours. In addition, prior to each meeting, a packet of information on the upcoming meeting is mailed / delivered to each member of the Board of Zoning Adjustment. The time to review this information requires approximately one-half to one-hour of review time prior to each meeting.
