Regularly Scheduled public meetings are held by the following Boards and Commissions:
Board of Aldermen meetings are on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Occasionally, the meeting will be postponed for a week if there is a special or general election on that day.
The Board of Aldermen meet publicly as the Committee of the Whole to receive informational presentations from City staff when no formal actions or votes of the Board are required. Committee of the Whole meetings are publicly noticed and scheduled on an as-needed basis.
The Board of Zoning Adjustment hears applications for Variances from zoning regulations and Appeals of Administrative Decisions made by City staff while enforcing zoning regulations. The BZA meets on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise noticed. Meetings are typically cancelled if there are no applications to come before the board.
The Raytown Parks & Recreation Board meetings are held regularly on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m., at the Park Administrative Services Office, 5912 Lane, Raytown, MO 64133.
The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the first Thursday of the month.
The Special Sales Tax Citizen Review Committee is comprised of an appointed committee of residents to review proposed purchases that are planned to utilize the Transportation, Public Safety, and Capital Sales Taxes collected by the City.
