The City of Winder partnered with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to construct a one-mile multi-use trail for bicycling, walking, inline skating, and nature viewing from Downtown Winder into Fort Yargo State Park.
The trail is 10 feet wide pathway that allows are residents, park patrons, and visitors, a true partnership the City supported this project with $347,253 in local cash along with securing a Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program stewardship grant in the amount of $1 million.
