The Accessory Dwelling Unit Handbook is the culmination of a significant effort in which agency staff examined the best practices found in other jurisdictions and put them to work here in Yuba County. The ADU Handbook provides useful information to walk you through the process of how to apply for an ADU, and how to use the Pre-Approved Accessory Dwelling Unit Plans listed below on this page.
County standard ADU plan types are arranged by square footage and layout. Please download and review all associated documents with each plan set. Please contact [email protected] to identify steps to use these plans, and be sure all steps are completed prior to starting the plan review process.
Each plan contains a document with a link to the County's Egnyte file share folder, where the ADU plans are accessible to the public. Due to County website space limitations, the ADU plans are accessible via this format.
