Project Overview
Yuba County is committed to providing safe, comfortable and accessible forms of transportation for all students, residents, and visitors. We are currently undertaking the design of the Linda Avenue and Dunning Avenue Safe Routes to School Project to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety in Linda.
The Linda Avenue and Dunning Avenue Safe Routes to School Project was identified as a priority project in the Yuba County Bikeway Master Plan Update, and it launched in 2024. The project's primary objective is to provide safe and reliable bicycle and pedestrian access to Linda Elementary School and local destinations. This project aims to create safer, more accessible routes for walking and biking. By transforming Linda Avenue and Dunning Avenue into key connecting corridors, the project facilitates a seamless link between residential and commercial areas like North Beale Road. This not only supports a safer, more active community but also promotes environmental sustainability, enriches local quality of life, and strengthens the broader active transportation network within Linda.
Yuba County Public Works will be providing additional community outreach opportunities, moving forward, to inform the public on Design & Engineering.
Key Planned Improvements
Project improvements generally consist of constructing:
