District Court Changes:

Our court is currently transitioning to a new statewide court management system designed to improve service, increase efficiency, and modernize court operations.

During this transition, residents may experience temporary service disruptions, including slower processing times, limited system availability, and scheduled service adjustments while staff receive training and court data is securely transferred into a new system. 

We appreciate the community's patience and understanding as we complete this important upgrade.

About District Court

Benton County District Court is a court of limited jurisdiction and has concurrent jurisdiction with Superior Court in all misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor actions committed in violation of State and County statutes or County and Municipal ordinances. Benton County District Court handles all matters involving traffic, non-traffic, parking infractions, anti-harassment and small claims up to $5,000 (business) or $10,000 (individual).  The District Court also has concurrent jurisdiction with the Superior Court over civil actions involving amounts up to $100,000.
