General Contractors must have a bond on file with the city. Depending on the scope of work, the bond amount will vary. Residential work needs a bond in the amount of $10,000. Commercial/Industrial/Multi-Family work will now need a bond in the amount of $250,000. Please take the form to your insurance company and have it filled out and sent to the Building Department. We need signatures, Power of Attorney, and a visible stamp seal.
