Emergency Preparedness & Response
The Bremer County Health Department is responsible for planning for, responding to, and mitigating the impact of public health emergencies. These emergencies can include natural disasters, disease outbreaks, bioterrorism incidents, and other public health threats. Preparedness efforts include developing response plans, stockpiling medical supplies, conducting drills and exercises that test response plans, and educating the public to ensure a rapid and organized response in times of crisis. The Bremer County Health Department also works closely with local, regional, and statewide preparedness partners.
