The Town of Franklin will be replacing three (3) fire hydrants on Thursday, June 4, 2026 in the Town Mountain area and a planned water outage will occur as part of this replacement. Impacted streets include: Town Mountain, Greenbriar, Skylark, Kingwood Circle, Lion Street, Lamplighter Street, Foxfire Street, Starfire Street, Ridge Street and a portion of Clyde Street. The service interruption is scheduled to take several hours and work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and last until mid-to-late afternoon.
Town crews will begin prepping the area on Wednesday, June 3 with no interruption in service for this work. Door hangers are being placed on June 1 and 2 on those homes that may be impacted by this planned outage.
The Town of Franklin appreciates your patience and understanding while this important installation is occurring. This installation will ensure efficient and effective hydrant flows in the area.
