The Community Development Department is dedicated to helping residents, businesses, and developers navigate the development process while promoting safe, attractive, and sustainable growth throughout the City of Raytown. Our team provides efficient, customer-focused service by processing development-related permits, administering Municipal Code requirements, and guiding customers through the review and approval process.
The department is made up of two divisions—Building & Neighborhood Services and Planning & Development Services—that work together to provide a wide range of services, including building permits, inspections, code enforcement, planning and zoning, and business licensing.
Our goal is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community while supporting responsible development and vibrant neighborhoods. If you Register using a shared email, anyone who handles Business Licenses, Craftsman Licenses and/or Permits in your company can create and/or renew each year.
