The Sewage Disposal Program ensures that the health of the public and the environment is protected from the improper disposal of sewage from on-site wastewater treatment systems (OWTS) and greywater systems. 

The Sewage Disposal Program ensures that OWTS are properly sited and designed to prevent impacts to groundwater, surface waters and the public. The program evaluates proposals for and permits the construction, repair and maintenance of OWTS, investigates complaints relating to illegal or unsafe sewage disposal.

The Sewage Disposal Program inspects and permits waste haulers and monitors their monthly records of service.
